Product Information and Warranty

Since 1975, TUMI has been dedicated to providing our customers with outstanding ownership experience. TUMI’s comprehensive product coverage is reflective of our commitment to our consumers’ ongoing satisfaction. Specifically, we make four commitments to our customers:

1. You will enjoy using our innovative products that are designed and manufactured to be the best.
2. You will experience world-class after-sales customer service.
3. Wheeled luggage and body worn bags will be covered for five (5) years or two (2) years for selected accessories. Limited Warranty coverage begins on the date of in-store purchase or date of delivery and is valid on purchases from an authorized TUMI store, dealer, or TUMI.com. Because TUMI cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized dealers, this warranty applies only to products that were purchased from a TUMI store, TUMI.com or a TUMI authorized dealer, unless otherwise prohibited by law. TUMI reserves the right to reject warranty claims for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.
4. Your warranty applies to TUMI wheeled luggage, body worn bags, accessories, eyewear, belts and tech. Men's and women's fragrance, candles, lotions, wellness products, outerwear and product cleaners are not covered.

The TUMI Warranty extends to the original owner; it is straightforward and comprehensive, and part of the total TUMI ownership experience. First Year of Ownership: Worry Free

With limited exceptions, TUMI will repair selected products damaged during the first year (12 months) of ownership. This includes functional or structural failure due to wear and tear, manufacturing defects, workmanship, and even airline or other transit mishandling. TUMI will cover all repair expenses, including shipping costs to and from our repair facility. If we determine that the product is beyond repair, we will replace it. If we determine that a replacement product is not available, we will provide you with a product of comparable value based on current inventory. Aesthetic damage and damage due to misuse and abuse, including scratches, tears, stains and dents, are not covered.

Additionally, we do not cover incidental and consequential damages and loss, such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.

From Second Year of Ownership Onwards

From year two onwards, all TUMI wheeled luggage and body-worn bags are covered by alimited warranty from year two
through year five. Most accessories, eyewear, belts and tech enjoy a limited warranty for your second year of ownership.

After your first year, enjoy a limited warranty for years two through five on all wheeled luggage and body-worn bags and a limited warranty for year two on accessories and small leather goods. We will repair any functional and structural failure due to wear and tear (excluding aesthetical damage), workmanship and material defects (such as defective handles, zippers, or locks). Outside the First-Year Worry-Free Warranty, we do not cover damage resulting from airline or other transit misuse and abuse, aesthetical damage such as scratches, dents, stains, tears, creases, or wear and tear or failure caused by misuse. Additionally, we do not cover incidental and consequential damages and loss, such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.

Your only responsibility is to ship your item to us for repair, postage paid or bring it to a TUMI store or authorized TUMI dealer, where we will be happy to process the repair. In some cases, a nominal shipping and processing fee may apply. Many repairs can be conducted in TUMI stores, free of charge. If your item does need to be sent to our facility, we will repair it quickly and ship it back to you at no additional cost. In cases where our warranty does not apply, service centers found here will provide you with an estimate of any repair and return shipping costs that may be incurred.

You Can Expect Years of Quality Service

We do have many customers with well-traveled bags that are more than five years old, who would like to have their bags refurbished or repaired. For these customers, we offer courteous, responsive service and the highest quality repairs and refurbishment at a reasonable cost. If we are unable to repair the bag, we will suggest alternative options based on current inventory. Proof of Purchase

Please save your store receipt as proof of purchase. If you're purchasing your TUMI as a gift, please give the recipient a gift receipt. This will be needed to demonstrate your warranty coverage. Additionally, this will serve as proof that your purchase was made at an authorized TUMI retailer. Our Limited Warranty only applies to products that were purchased from an authorized TUMI store or dealer.

Registering with the TUMI Tracer® program records you as the owner of your TUMI product, saving the Tracer ID within your customer profile in our system. Should you ever need to use our repair services, your Tracer ID along with your receipt as proof of purchase validates if your bag is under warranty. Your Tracer ID verifies the authenticity and allows our associates to efficiently locate the correct parts for your TUMI product. Not all items we make have a tracer number, but most of our wheeled luggage and bags do. If the item in question is not registered with the TUMI Tracer® program, you will need to supply your original receipt as your proof of purchase at an authorized TUMI retailer. Please see our tracer registration page for more details regarding tracer registration. Please note: In Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Japan and Korea, the TUMI Tracer® program is not valid for Proof of purchase. You will need the original store receipt to validate purchases from an authorized TUMI retailer.

Regional Rights

This warranty gives you certain legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of the above exclusions or limitations, so the above limitations or exclusions may apply to you only to the maximum extent permitted by local law or may not apply to you at all.

In your jurisdiction, you may be entitled by law to remedies from the seller free of charge in the event of a lack of conformity between the product and those remedies. For purchases made in the European Union you are entitled by law to remedies from the seller free of charge in the event of lack of conformity of the product, and those remedies are not affected by this commercial warranty.
